Privacy policy

Counting Sheep is made by Sam Vickars. This policy explains what little information the app and website handle, and why.
What we collect
- On your device: settings (reminder time, sounds, sleep timer), streak history, and a random device identifier used only to submit optional answer suggestions during challenges.
- Notifications: if you enable reminders, your device’s notification system delivers them. We do not sell notification data.
- Optional suggestions: if you disagree with a time-trial answer and submit an alternate, that text (and an anonymous device id) may be stored so answer lists can improve.
What we don’t do
- No accounts or sign-in required.
- No advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking.
- We do not sell personal information.
- Microphone access is not required; ambient sounds play from the app.
Servers
Daily exercises and answer lists are fetched from a small backend (hosted on Vercel, with data in Supabase). Share links open on this website.
Children
Counting Sheep is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under 13.
